If you can answer yes to the above, you could be our new Direct Payments Officer within Adult Social Care Financial Services.
An excellent and rewarding opportunity for a highly motivated, organised and driven professional, with great attention to detail and proven experience of working with databases. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with a wide range of people, which can involve discussing sensitive issues around care needs.
You’ll be a key part of the team and someone whose aim is ensuring the smooth delivery of direct payments to Adult Social Care clients. You will also be responsible for completing audit checks of direct payment expenditure.
You will be required to provide excellent standards of customer service to our clients who require varying levels of support.
You’ll need knowledge of working with computers including Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office and have 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths with grades C and above. You’ll work on several bespoke database systems for which you will receive full training and ongoing support.
Due to the flexible nature of the role it’s important you are organised, self-motivated, collaborative, empathic and understand the variety of needs vulnerable people face.
If you’re successful you will benefit from access to on-going training as well as excellent standards of support and supervision.
COVID-19 update: Please note that East Sussex County Council is currently following Government’s advice on enabling staff to work from home if it is safe and practical to do so. Therefore, this role will be delivered remotely in an Agile way to begin with until the Council makes any changes to these working arrangements.
