Weekend Assistant Premises Officer (Casual)

Priory is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint a Weekend Assistant Premises Officer on a casual basis.
The Weekend Assistant Premises Officer will be expected to provide an effective caretaking service to cover lettings at the weekend and possibly in the evenings during school holiday periods. It is essential that the successful candidate will offer a high level of customer service and is used to dealing with members of the public. It would be desirable if applicants have experience of carrying out building maintenance work, within the reasonable capacity of a handyperson. At times, the Premises Officer would also need to move large amounts of furniture, for example, exam desks and chairs during the school exams period.
The position is to cover lettings on a rota of every other weekend. At present the school has a regular agreement with East Sussex Music Service for Saturday mornings during term–time. In addition, other lettings may occur throughout the year on Saturday afternoons /evenings and some Sundays.
The salary is Grade 3 spinal point 7 on the Single Status Pay Scale, which is currently £9.62 per hour. Claims will be paid at time-and-a-half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays. However the school does not guarantee any work if the buildings are not being let.
