HR Manager (HR Advisory Team) one permanent role and one 12 months’ FTC
We’re appointing two HR Managers in the HR Advisory Team that will report directly to the Head of HR (Employee Relations). The post holder will work with a team of HR professionals providing an effective HR Advisory Service across the council service areas and schools across Brighton & Hove.

About the role
HR Managers in this team ensure the following:
- Provision of leadership and direction to HR Consultants and Lead HR Consultants in relation to delivering an excellent HR advisory service.
- High-quality and professional service, including building excellent working relationships with the senior executive team, managers and Head Teachers to support decision making on a wide variety of employee relations matters, including complex casework, change management and dispute resolution.
- Strong professional and technical advice to the team through guidance, coaching and support and identifying appropriate continuous professional development.
One of our key areas of focus as a department is to support the directorates to proactively understand, engage with and respond effectively to the city’s diverse communities and changing demographic.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
