This role is based in Service Delivery, which is the provider arm of the Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social Care directorate. Service Delivery provides direct care to people living in their own homes and in-house residential establishments across the county.  The service is registered with the Quality Care Commission (CQC). In this role you would report to and be managed by the Quality Assurance Manager (Service Delivery).

We are looking for an experienced individual to be part of the quality assurance framework that monitors and promotes regulatory compliance and best practice across our services. The remit will include Surrey County Council operated care homes and supported living services for people with learning disabilities, care homes for older people and reablement teams and extra care services.

Key duties you will be responsible for include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and undertaking quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Producing clear audit reports that identify good practice and areas for improvement.
  • Supporting managers with implementing their action plans to address any shortfalls.
  • Undertaking disciplinary investigations, complaints investigations and Section 42 (safeguarding) enquiries where requested.
  • Sharing and promoting information about best practice with individual services.

You will need to maintain a good working relationship with Safeguarding Advisors that will work alongside you as part of the quality assurance framework, with the registered managers of each service and Senior Managers within Service Delivery.

Job Advert

The starting salary for this position is £45,734 per annum for 36 hours per week.

You will also be required to participate in the Service Delivery out of hours on call system on a rota basis for which there is an additional payment.

Although the post is based in Leatherhead there will be some opportunities for remote working, but you must be able and willing to travel across the county to visit the service locations within the remit of this role as required.
