Health and Safety Officer

Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.

This is an exciting time to join us here at Redbridge with the commencement of new repairs and Maintenance Contracts, the renewal of our Asset Management Strategy and renewed focus on sustainability, energy management and customer service. These posts all form part of the Asset Management Team within the housing service responsible for the building maintenance management function for the councils housing stock, this include all statutory compliance and capital works and planned maintenance.

We are looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join a team of three health and safety staff. This post holder will work within Asset Management team in Housing Services ensuring the health and safety of residents and staff on the delivery of the building maintenance management function. The successful candidate will be required to visit estates, review and access health, safety and risk plans and offer advice and support to other colleagues within the service.

If you require further information about any of these posts please contact Ola Akinfe, Head of Asset Management on 020 8708 8305 for an informal discussion.
