A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Consultant to work within Adult Social Care. This post will primarily be focused on the roll out and embedding of a Strength Based way of working across Adult Social care. Working with the Principal Social Worker for Adults and other Strength Based Champions in the delivery of training, the facilitating of reflective practice sessions and in co-producing wider systems changes that will enable the sustainability of a new way of working. The post holder will promote Strength based ways of working both internally and with our external partners and ensure it is integrated in all aspects of day to day practice.
The post holder will also support with other aspects of practice development and quality assurance to ensure that the highest standard of social work practice is embedded in the organisation. They will provide practice knowledge to social workers, social care practitioners, the organisation and it’s partners, and will support the facilitation of the ASYE for newly qualified social workers and the Adult Social Care SW Apprenticeship program. They will influence practice education by mentoring and assessing, and by co-working with local universities, students and multi-disciplinary team members, contributing to the development and review of the ASC training program and completing quality assurance work to ensure the highest standards of practice are achieved.
The Practice Consultant will be a qualified and registered social worker with extensive knowledge and experience of working in adult social care and in supervising and supporting the practice development of others. They will be passionate about Strength based ways of working and have the skills and experience to embed cultural change. They will work as part of the management team and will be passionate about social work as a profession and about improving standards by continuous learning.The post holder will have a high level of knowledge of all relevant legal frameworks and in supporting others to adapt to change and to new ways of working. They will be enthusiastic and flexible and will bring new ideas and creativity.
