About the Post:
This role is a fixed term post for 12 months. The appointed candidate would be based in the Dearne area team and the role would be to work alongside existing community groups, the voluntary sector and other partners to provide both a co-ordinating role and a direct engagement role.
The role is closely aligned to Public Health to ensure the correct and timely messages in relation to COVID recovery/support were being relayed to the most relevant people/organisations within the communities using the most appropriate ways of communicating those messages.
The Engagement Officers would work with the other 5 existing engagement staff as well as other officers in the Council and in the Voluntary Community Sector, to ensure they were a known point of contact for advice and support and where to go if there was a need.
