Job introduction

The post holder will be part of the Joint Domestic, Sexual Violence & Abuse and Violence against Women & Girls (VAWG) Unit Brighton & Hove and East Sussex, with responsibility for coordinating the MARAC in Brighton & Hove and managing its day to day operation, in line with the MARAC Operating Protocol and Information Sharing Agreement.

Fixed term for: 12 months to cover an internal secondment

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1-year secondment to cover the role of MARAC Co-ordinator.

The MARAC is a weekly Multi-Agency meeting focusing on victims of domestic abuse who are at high risk of injury or death.

We are looking for a proactive and skilled staff member to ensure the accuracy of the information shared and recorded at these fast-paced weekly meetings. You will work as part of Joint Unit for domestic and sexual abuse and violence against women and girls, which works across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex Councils.

It is a challenging role and involves working with representatives from a range of other agencies and comes with support from a small and dedicated team focused on this important subject area. 

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.
