About the role
Adult Social Care is seeking a Project Officer to lead on the development and implementation of pre-paid cards for our Client Affairs Service. This will include taking part in the tendering and specification process and working with ASCH colleagues to ensure any service issues are addressed.
The work involved will be challenging, diverse and rewarding. We are looking for a highly motivated person with a focus on delivering projects in a timely manner to budget and who is willing to turn their hand to whatever needs doing to deliver changes. As the project lead you will be responsible for the day to day management of the project as well as delivering some of the project and change management activities such as requirements gathering, options appraisal and developing the business plan.
The post will work with existing staff to ensure dependencies are not in conflict and to enable knowledge transfer.
Experience of pre-paid cards will be an advantage as will knowledge of working in an Adult Social Care environment. Your most important attributes will be your ability to work with key stakeholders to take them through the change journey; to develop a product that is fit for purpose and delivers the benefits identified; and can work within existing infrastructures to ensure any impacts are jointly managed.
Although the team is office based in Eastbourne with the need to travel between various council locations, we are currently working as a virtual team from home during the COVID pandemic. You will need to be flexible and adaptive to these working styles as they change and will be supplied with the necessary tools to do this.
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).
