About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Hillingdon's Private Sector Housing Teams. You will be responsible for supporting officers with the procurement of good quality accommodation and ensuring standards in the private sector.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference to residents' lives, through coordinating and monitoring activity within the Private Sector Housing and Landlord Engagement Team to ensure a smooth end to end processes for engagement with residents, landlords and managing agents.
As a Temporary Accommodation and Private Sector Housing Coordinator you will;
- Provide legal administrative support for the service of statutory notices , HMO licences, works in default, prosecutions and procuring of properties.
- Have experience in processing grant aided works and procurement contract management
- Work across service boundaries and to deliver a consistent and cost-effective approach to procurement for the full range of accommodation duties accepted by the Council
- Support the running of the Council's Landlord Forum and other events.
We are looking for an individual with recent experience and understanding of Private Sector Housing Enforcement or Procurement and Housing grants.
You will have excellent written and verbal skills
You will have excellent organisation skills
Contribute to the development of policy and new initiatives by providing feedback on the changing nature of private sector housing needs encountered on a day to day basis
