This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead’s Transformation Strategy. You will become a key member of the Council’s growing Transformation Service, working alongside colleagues in creating, managing and delivering dynamic projects across the Royal Borough’s services. During this two year post, you will also work towards achieving a Level 4 Associate Project Management qualification.
In August 2020, the Royal Borough published an ambitious strategy to reshape the services it delivers by pursuing a customer obsessed, community centric wholesale redesign. The strategy challenges assumptions and outdated practices, championing and inspiring change that delivers real benefit to local residents. The vision is underpinned by six core principles:

In this exciting new role you will take responsibility for developing and delivering projects across the strategy’s six key themes. This will include writing project plans, managing key stakeholder relationships, monitoring budgets and contributing to the timely and successful delivery of project work.
You’ll be working closely with Project Managers, communities, partner organisations, Council services and contractors to deliver projects effectively and inclusively. An enthusiasm and passion for customer success (the right people, getting the right services, at the right time) is an advantage along with relationship management skills so you can engage others with our exciting plans for the Borough.
The council is set in a major tourism area with tourist attractions including Windsor Castle, Legoland and Ascot Racecourse and with the Royal Family on the doorstep, and is a great place to live and work. There are excellent transport connections to London and the West of England, with the new Elizabeth Line opening in Maidenhead.
