About the role
The Weald Federation are looking for a Federation Caretaker to become a member of the Federation Caretaking Team to work at our school in Mark Cross.
The successful candidate, ideally, will have experience at working in a school setting and have some experience in health and safety.
You will be required to perform caretaking duties, including being responsible for the routine/emergency opening of school premises and grounds before school starts, ensuring security of all school buildings. You will be required to perform several health and safety/statutory checks so an eye for detail and a methodical approach is essential. The ideal candidate must be willing to play their part in keeping the school staff/children/visitors and buildings/grounds clean, protected and secure, ensuring others are notified where problems arise.
We need someone who will become a team member of Mark Cross Church of England School staff and be willing to be flexible.
The successful candidate will join a team of four caretakers (at our other three Weald Federation Schools) working under the guidance of our Federation Site Manager.
Experience is not essential (training can be provided), although a willingness to get involved, and an eye for detail will be an advantage. Some computer skills are necessary as you will be required to update an online maintenance manual (for which training can be given).
For further details and a copy of the job description/application form, please contact Alison Morgan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
