Tenant Engagement Officer
Salary NS10: £29,577 - £31,346 per annum
37 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tenant Engagement Officer to join our Housing, Health and Wellbeing Directorate to work with our involved tenants and recruit others to undertake a key role in tenant engagement for the Council. The successful candidate will work alongside our current Tenant Engagement Officer in promoting the value and scale of tenant engagement to increase involvement and ensure it is embedded into the Council; integrating tenant’s views and scrutiny into the design and delivery of new and existing housing services. You will bring passion and enthusiasm to serve and empower our tenants to hold us to account and ensure there are a range of opportunities for us to work together to deliver customer centred services.
You will have experience in tenant, resident or community engagement, capacity and place building and experience in reviewing and developing methods for doing so in partnership with service users. You will also be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of best practice in tenant engagement.
As we embark on our “Digital by Design, Leave no-one Behind” journey we are ideally looking to recruit officers who can demonstrate an enhanced knowledge in digital involvement.
You will be part of the Housing and Estates Team and work across the directorate and out in the district. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, resilient and tenacious with the confidence to engage with a range of audiences and be innovative in your thinking.
