Knowsley Council is looking to appoint a Consultant in Public Health for a fixed term basis until end of March 2022. The successful candidate will play a lead role in improving and protecting population health.
This position is a Senior Leadership role within the Health and Social Care Directorate and will have specific responsibilities across the areas of health protection, health care public health and wider determinants of health.
The purpose of the role is to provide strategic leadership in Knowsley’s response to Covid-19 and longer-term recovery. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Consultant in Public Health who has strong technical, negotiation and partnership skills to improve the health and well-being of the local population and reduce inequalities.
Less than full-time or job share would be considered.
