Team Assistant – Environmental Services
£18,933 to £19,698 per annum pro rata
22 hours per week
Fixed term contract for one year
Blaby District Council have made a commitment to tackle climate change. Our ambition is for the Council to be carbon neutral by 2030, and the district carbon neutral by 2050; you will be working with the team to achieve this aim.
As our Team Assistant, you will provide general administration support to the Environmental Services team. You will also be responsible for dealing with queries and enquiries, inputting data, maintaining records, inputting and processing invoices, and have particular administrative responsibility for Climate Change, Air Quality and Car Parking.
You will have a passion for what you do and be motivated to take pride in delivering a high quality service. You will have knowledge of IT systems such as word processing and spreadsheets.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer focussed environment, be able to work on their own initiative and be a team player.
Home working will form part of this role as well as working in the office on a rota basis.

Where are we based?
The Main Council Offices are in a lovely little village called Narborough in Leicestershire which is just 3 miles from the M1, junction 21 and not far from the centre of Leicester. The local train station is only a 5 minutes’ walk away and there are regular bus links to and from the city centre.
