More about the role
Central Bedfordshire Council has a leading Information Technology service, with a forward-thinking approach that supports a modern and efficient local authority. We know that the right technology and support can transform services, improve outcomes for our residents, and boost the performance and productivity of our staff.
We currently have a fixed term vacancy for a Transformation Delivery Manager to lead on a major transformation initiative.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Futures Programme, a cross-council programme of work which will deliver savings and improve the way we work. The Futures Programme is aligned to our Medium Term Financial Plan and sees us taking a one-council approach to problem solving. The success of the programme relies upon solid engagement with the workforce and our approach to the management and delivery of change is key.
You’ll be working alongside our IT team to deliver these ambitious programmes of work, adding your experience to ensure the best technology successfully supports the needs of the council.
You will be well sighted on market trends and innovations and be able to understand how technology could be thoughtfully applied at the council.
Pivotal to driving through the changes, you will be able to speak with confidence and authority about technology and it’s benefits and be able to articulate impact and value to a variety of stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and delivering these key corporate projects, ensuring the technology is implemented and embedded successfully.
This role is being offered on a fixed term basis. If you feel you have the skills and tenacity to drive through these exciting changes successfully and if you have experience of large-scale technology implementation projects where you’ve delivered high quality results, we’d love to hear from you.
The Council is engaged on an increasingly transformational approach to service provision and IT is critical to the success of this as we drive a digital first agenda to ensure staff are engaged in activity that adds the greatest value.
Central Bedfordshire Council has its own vision and values that are integral to everything we do. Our area vision is to make Central Bedfordshire 'A great place to live and work’.
