The Council is engaged on an increasingly transformational approach to service provision; IT is critical to the success of this as we drive a digital first agenda to ensure staff are engaged in activity that adds the greatest value, successful delivery of these changes are paramount.
We are therefore looking for a Technical Project Manager experienced in the delivery of complex projects to work within our Digital Transformation programme ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to budget. Although not essential, experience of projects involving databases and data migration alongside integration and application decommissioning would be useful.
This exciting role will be pivotal in driving the CBC vision. As a great communicator and relationship builder, you will be the primary IT interface with the business and be responsible for:
- Managing the IT workstream ensuring appropriate governance, reporting and resource allocation
- Providing detailed IT project plans for the implementation of processes, extraction of data plus decommissioning of applications including understanding dependencies both within and outside of the project
- Managing the IT workstream budget
- Co-ordinating and managing several suppliers and develop work packages
- Managing and communicating risks and issues to the appropriate stakeholders and agreeing mitigation actions
