Inclusive Salary range from £26,107 Up To £28,367 per year
plus up to 18.5% employer pension contribution

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team to ensure the Council purchases goods and services effectively. You will be advising internal customers, developing sources of supply, building working relationships with suppliers and undertaking technical tasks associated with purchasing goods and services. This job is key to ensuring the Council achieves best value in all purchasing activities across the Council whilst maintaining compliance with our procurement rules.
You will have an understanding of how to carry out procurement activity and be committed to delivering excellent customer service. Experience of general procurement processes/purchasing and evaluation of products is essential. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and must also have working knowledge of MS Office suite. The ability to prioritise your work and an organised approach to work is essential for this post. As part of this role you will be given the opportunity to complete a Level 4 procurement apprenticeship.
