We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic apprentice, with good communication and interpersonal skills, to join Customer and Business Support teams, primarily Community Interpreting Service and McMillan Welfare Benefits, along with our admin and telephony hubs.
We are offering this opportunity to the right candidate, who is prepared to work hard, study and demonstrate a good work ethic. In exchange we offer excellent insight and training in the world of administration within a customer service environment, with support from managers and colleagues in our service.
The apprentice will support the teams with day-to-day administration. Duties will include data entry, scanning documents, general filing, processing incoming mail, taking details of appointments and allocating interpreters, invoice processing, generating basic financial statistical information and communication with clients and interpreters using a variety of mediums including phone, e: mail and letters. The apprentice will also receive wider training in telephony and customer service.
An intermediate apprenticeship with Medway Council will also give you the opportunity to obtain an insight into a diverse, unitary local authority that could offer a wide range of future career opportunities.
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However, we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
