Lancaster City Council is recruiting two Casual Catering Assistants to work at the award-winning Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right people to join an enthusiastic and passionate team at our Refuel Cafe.
The Catering role is a vital part of Salt Ayre Leisure Centre. You must have a desire to deliver outstanding customer service. You will provide a full front of house service, included but not limited to, making dishes to the correct specification, preparing high quality hot beverages, and becoming a vital team member in our award-winning café.
As casual workers, you will be paid only for the hours which you work. The nature of casual work means that there is no mutuality of obligation. This means that the Council is not obliged to offer you any hours and neither are you obligated to accept any hours offered. The Council cannot guarantee that work will be available.
Lancaster City Council has unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing carbon emissions.
We are a Forces Friendly employer, and an Armed Forces Covenant committed organisation. We welcome applications from defence reserves and other members of our armed forces community.
Excellent benefits include: A Local Government Pension Scheme (the Council makes a 15.5% contribution). Discounted gym membership and discount on days out, activities and retail.
