Over the next years, we are re-vamping the council’s website from the ground up and are looking for a talented, experienced Digital Content Manager to join the team. Initial work has already been undertaken, but there's still lots to do.

The council's website is a key communication tool for the authority and is well established with over 700,000 page views every month.

This is an exciting and key project for the authority; it underpins our ambitions to be ‘digital by default’ supporting our digital strategy and to ensure that our community’s needs are met by the best public services.

You will be a tenacious and customer-focused individual, with significant copywriting and engagement experience. You will be happy and able to work on your own initiative and as part of the project team to support this major development project and work with the wider team to develop the best approach.

This project will help to shape the direction for the future of the council, showcasing easy and accessible services, providing exemplary practice and delivering the next digital platform for the authority.

You will bring significant experience of web and digital content design and management to the role. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including software developers, business process analysts and customer services staff.

The work will be varied. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders across the local authority including the communications and ICT teams. There will also be significant engagement with end users during development and testing of the new website.
