The Implementation Team plays a key role in delivering the new housing and economic growth to Huntingdonshire. Working alongside colleagues in Economic Development, Strategic Development and Planning Policy, as well as the wider planning teams, the team is responsible for collaborating with colleagues and partners to ensure the necessary infrastructure needs to support the communities which Huntingdonshire District Council serves is delivered in an appropriate and timely manner.
As the Implementation & Finance Officer, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of providing administrative and financial support to a team, with the ability to multi-task and have good computer skills. Any understanding of the planning process within a Local Authority would be desirable as would the willingness to develop your understanding of legislation but experience of processing invoices, raising purchase orders, reconciliations and strong financial administration is key.
You will also assist with the administration of the collection and subsequent distribution of related financial planning related developer contributions from developments, specifically the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 Agreements and any other related funding.
Knowledge of Section 106 would be advantageous but is not expected, overall we are seeking financially sound administrators who want to work in a varied and busy planning and growth department within a Local Authority.

We are currently working full remotely for the foreseeable future when we anticipate returning to the office on a flexible basis which will still include work from home and flexi time opportunities but candidates should be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.
