Job Title: Specialist Advisory Teacher – Physical and Neurological Impairment (PNI)

Location Base: Stevenage, Apsley or Hertford, delivering service countywide

Salary Range:  MPS / UPS Plus 1 SEN Allowance (+ Fringe Allowance)

Hours:  19.50 Part time

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (until 31 May 2022)

Department: Children’s Services / Integrated Services for Learning / SEND Specialist Advice and Support

 

You are invited to apply to join our team of Specialist Advisory Teachers, working throughout Hertfordshire to successfully support children and young people with special educational needs, their families and schools and settings.

We currently have a vacancy for a motivated teacher with recent classroom or service experience who is flexible, creative and committed to inclusion. Experience of teaching pupils with physical and/or neurological impairment is desirable but good teachers of SEND who are willing to train will be favourably considered.

You will be part of our SEND Specialist Advice and Support (SEND SAS) service within Integrated Services for Learning.   Our teams work with children and young people with a range of special educational needs.  You will be responsible for ensuring that the educational and developmental progress of children and young people (0-25), with physical and/or neurological impairments is met in line with the Hertfordshire Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy and HCC strategic objectives.

 

We can offer you a friendly, supportive working environment, a full induction and ongoing professional development. The role necessitates extensive travel around the whole county.
