About the role

Our administrators play a key role in supporting the Council - helping us provide a better service to the children and families of East Sussex. You will be joining the Inclusion and Special Educational Needs and Disability (ISEND) Service and will be part of the admin team that supports the Intervention and Support services.

This is a senior role which involves the review and implementation of efficient administrative processes for the seven different Intervention and Support teams. The post holder will have line management responsibilities and will be expected to support the Office Manager and deputise in their absence.

The ability to multitask, be flexible and work well under pressure is essential. Strong Microsoft Office skills, attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to use your own initiative are key. You will be reliable and dependable, have excellent communication skills and a real passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to guide and support Administrative Support Assistants to perform to the best of their ability.

This varied and demanding role offers the opportunity to expand on existing knowledge and skills by working with an experienced administration team and would suit an experienced manager or someone looking to take their first step into line management.

This is a full time permanent post working countywide but will be based in St Mark’s House in Eastbourne for the purposes of travel claims. We would be looking for the successful applicant to start with us in June, subject to the satisfactory completion of the pre-employment checks
