About the role
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to be Registered Manager of Lansdowne Secure Children’s Home. You will be highly motivated by the potential to transform young people’s lives through an outstanding quality of trauma informed residential and therapeutic care. You will have had experience of leading others to achieve that goal.
Just completing a major new extension and programme of refurbishment at Lansdowne Secure Unit, Lansdowne is part of the Secure Children’s Homes network in England and Wales; and one of only 6 homes that provide welfare only placements. Lansdowne is currently rated by Ofsted as good in all areas and is part of a wider Children’s Service in East Sussex that is rated as Outstanding. We strive to make Lansdowne as homely and child centred as possible, with a focus on providing a therapeutic environment supported by a strong multidisciplinary team. You will be the Ofsted Registered Manager of the home and accountable for quality, standards, risk management, safeguarding and welfare of the 12 children we care for in line with the requirements of the regulatory frameworks.
To be successful in this key role, you will have significant experience of working with children and young people including management of a good residential setting. You will be joining a creative management team, dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for the children in our care, with direct responsibility for both the Secure Children’s Home and wider strategic developments, informed by current national policy and practice.
