As Senior Information Governance Specialist / Deputy Data Protection Officer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team on behalf of 3C ICT Shared Services in delivering an effective IG service facilitating and supporting managers and staff across Huntingdonshire, Cambridge City, and South Cambridgeshire District Councils.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward thinking, innovative team who strive to provide an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well-co-ordinated information governance service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and partner requirements ensuring alignment with the corporate objectives of the organisations.
The post holder will provide support across all areas of the Corporate Information Governance work programmes including but not limited to:
· Supporting teams to ensure subject rights requests are managed and processed in an effective and timely manner
· Ensuring DPIAs are completed where required, supporting teams and providing specialist advice and liaising with staff at all levels
· Ensuring local governance arrangements are established and supported, including cross organisation IG Groups
· Managing information assets, working with teams/IAOs/IAAs to ensure any identified risks are mitigated and reporting compliance/issues as required
· Supporting the Shared Services Leadership Team and Deputy SIROs
· Deputising for the Information Governance Manager when required.
