About the role

We are looking for a self motivated person who wishes to be an Apprentice Teaching Assistant (level 3). The apprenticeship will be made up of practical employment experience whilst having an education programme that will lead on to a nationally recognised qualification.

You will learn to work in a school environment supporting the learning and care of students. You will learn to work with a team and as an individual. Observation and assessment by professional teachers and assessors takes place throughout the term of apprenticeship to build upon your levels of understanding leading toward your qualification. The successful applicant will have the privilege to support our children's learning in their lessons.

- Be an articulate team player, willing to work effectively as part of a team
- Have the ability to communicate professionally to all both orally and in writing
- Have good organisational, planning and follow through skills
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentially
- Enjoy working with and caring for children

The  hours of work will be 8.30-11.30 and 12-3 Monday to Friday. You will have a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break between 11.30-12.00 Total of 30 hours.

There may also be an opportunity to work some extra hours at our after school club which is open 3-6 Monday to Friday.
