About the role
The St Thomas á Becket CE Federation (Blackboys & Framfield Schools) is looking for a highly motivated, inspirational, and innovative KS2 teacher to join our happy committed, forward thinking team, at Blackboys Church of England Primary School from September 2021.
Set in the heart of the Sussex countryside with great transport links to the coast, Blackboys was judged as a 'Good' School by Ofsted in November 2019. The School seeks someone who is interested in developing their career, loves taking on new challenges and who can epitomise the Federation vision of 'Be the Best you Can be; living life in all its fullness' (John 10:10). The successful candidate will need to have high expectations of the pupils, their colleagues and themselves.
The post is suitable for an NQT or recently qualified teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who has a real passion for teaching and learning.
We are looking for someone who:
*is a team player with the ability to inspire learners and colleagues.
*has high expectations of children's learning and behaviour.
*has a strong commitment to pupil achievement.
*has experience of assessment for learning and the importance of feedback.
*has the motivation, with training, to lead an area of the curriculum in the future.
*Is keen to engage with continued professional development and subject pedagogy.
*communicates innovatively with children, parents and colleagues.
Blackboys School offers an outward-looking, hard-working, friendly team of staff; a village environment and pupils who are polite, friendly and eager to learn. Our November 2019 Ofsted reported 'pupils are happy here', 'pupils want to learn', 'pupils behave well' and 'leaders, staff and governors have high ambitions for pupils to achieve well'. NQTs will engage with an experienced mentor, be involved in exciting CPD opportunities and receive protected NQT time out of class.
The leadership team and governing body are extremely supportive, providing a dynamic programme for CPD and staff care. Added to this is the community feel generated by School and Parents/Carers including an active PTA.
Visits to the school are very much encouraged. Please contact Blackboys School Office on 01825 890 423 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org
Emails will be responded to and visits will continue to be arranged throughout the Easter break.
