Private Sector Lettings Support Officer
Woking Borough Council has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to join our busy Private Sector Housing team on a part time basis (30 hours per week).
We are looking for a committed candidate to join our dedicated and friendly team. The role will provide effective and efficient support to the Let’s Rent service, working with private landlords to secure affordable private rented accommodation for residents who are threatened with homelessness and helping to bring empty homes back in to use.
This is a varied role suited to someone with excellent administrative and customer service skills. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with diverse client groups and of working in a busy office environment with competing priorities and tight timescales. A knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels are essential.
An awareness of the private rented sector and the challenges faced by private tenants and vulnerable households in a high demand housing market would be an advantage.
The Council offers in return a generous flexi time scheme with the ability to take two flexi days a month, membership of the local government pension scheme, discounted health and leisure membership, plus many more excellent benefits.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post. An assessment may be required. If you have any queries or would like to discuss this further, please contact the Human Resources team.
For an informal discussion about the post please contact Jacqui Dixon (Private Sector Housing Manager) on 01483 743616 or Clare Hadley (Private Sector Housing Liasion Team Leader) on 01483 743455.
