Delivery Manager (Market Towns) (£35, 432 - £39,877) Fixed term – 12 months
At the gateway to the East of England, Huntingdonshire has built on its history and has many locational advantages with attractive countryside and green spaces and lying within the Oxford-Cambridge growth corridor. The area is well placed to attract businesses, supported by new communities that work well with the existing market towns and a blend of urban and rural life. Huntingdonshire District Council is already good, innovative and is striving to be great.
We are seeking talented individuals to join us in securing delivery of our economy-led Towns Regeneration programme to ensure Huntingdonshire, its people, and its places continue to be successful.
The focus of our energy over the past year has been on strong support to the local community in responding to the challenges raised by COVID-19. Whilst the response continues, we have secured new funding from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority for a programme of projects to deliver interventions to accelerate recovery for our town centres. These will need to be delivered by the end of March 2022.
To drive delivery within the agreed timetable we need a Delivery Manager (Market Towns). You will lead coordination and delivery of this project based activity, working collaboratively alongside our HDC Project Managers and report into the Programme Manager (which we are also recruiting on a 12 month FTC) to deliver projects totalling £1.8m Full details of the accelerated delivery programme can be found here
The Delivery Manager is a new fixed term post, focussed on successful completion across a range of projects. You will need to demonstrate creativity, persuasion, and creativity to delivering outcomes at pace, on time and on budget in a previous project management capacity. Whilst driving implementation, you will prepare concise and accurate reports for the Town Programme Board and formal and informal Council meetings, identifying progress, key issues and risks and any necessary decisions to ensure ongoing pace.
In parallel, two other significant programmes of work are underway to ensure our Town Centres respond and adapt to economic change and remain a destination of choice for business, shopping and leisure. The Programme Manager (Towns) will be driving a wider series of town centre initiatives. In St. Neots, and with the support of the Future High Streets Fund (FHSF), the Council will deliver an ambitious programme of projects to reimagine the town centre. In addition, the Council is committed to commencing a Regeneration Masterplan Programme for our three other market towns (Huntingdon, St. Ives and Ramsey).

We are on a change journey and are seeking brave and talented individuals who are confident in their ability to come and drive this journey forward, with us
