About the role
We are recruiting a Senior Project Officer to join the Support With Confidence team at East Sussex County Council.
Support With Confidence is our Adult Social Care accreditation scheme run in partnership with Trading Standards. The scheme works to approve the quality of local care and support providers, many of whom are personal assistants (PAs) and micro businesses currently operating in the unregulated sector of the social care market; The scheme’s aim is to enhance the quality and experience of people’s care. PAs and local care and support services are ideally placed to provide personalised care and support and, through the accreditation and ongoing development provided by the scheme, well placed to respond to emerging need for both funded and self-funded clients. The scheme works closely with Adult Social Care operational teams and commissioners.
The Senior Project Officer is a new post, which will play a key role in the operational management of the accreditation scheme, supervising staff working on the support services functions to undertake application processes, accreditation checks and leading on interviewing and accreditation processes to support applicants to access training towards approval on to the scheme. You will also be involved in scheme development plans, recruitment and publicity campaigns, networking events and training.
We are looking for someone who is keen to play an important role in the development of the scheme and in contributing to the work of our motivated team. The team are based at County Hall, Lewes, East Sussex but currently working from home, so we are looking for someone who can work flexibly on their own initiative. You will also be required to travel around the County
Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
