We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Manager to undertake the role of leading a team which delivers Community Safety, Resilience and Flood Risk Management and covers a range of statutory services including the Bedford Borough Community Safety Partnership, Anti-Social Behaviour, CCTV, emergency planning, business continuity and flood risk management.
This is an opportunity for a confident and experienced professional to demonstrate the difference they can make by working with communities and partners to protect the public and lead the team to deliver a range of diverse services according to local priorities.
We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of the services covered by the role, with experience of delivering positive outcomes for communities by working according to local strategic plans and priorities to actively improve the quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors to the Borough.
In order to be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate experience of leading a diverse team and have the appropriate organisational, communication and team working skills to match. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a busy authority and demonstrating the necessary skills required of complex service delivery, managing staff, projects, budgets and work streams whilst providing advice and guidance to other members of the team.
