VOIDS MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS OFFICER
Salary £29,820 - £36,004 per annum

Guildford Borough Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced Voids Maintenance and Repairs Officer with a positive approach to become part of our recently restructured Technical Services Team.
Our service area is responsible for maintenance, planned improvement and major refurbishment of over 5000 social housing units with a void average annual turnover of up to 250 properties
Responsible for the management of void housing from the assessment of vacant property through to specification and management of the works to completion and handover. The post reports directly to the Maintenance & Repairs Lead and is key to delivering void property within set priorities and performance targets. Your role will be to project manage our direct workforce and sub-contractors to ensure we deliver the service within tight parameters and to a high standard. Effective liaison with other service areas particularly in relation to rehousing is critical to this post.
This is a technical role with knowledge of building maintenance and construction essential criteria. Ability to be able to physically access property and restricted areas such as roof spaces is required.
Applicants must have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK to allow for regular site visits across the Borough.
