Corporate Document Manager
Salary range £33,749 to £41,096 per annum
Spelthorne’s ICT department is a busy, friendly and dynamic place to work.
We are looking for an experienced Document Manager to join a small team primarily supporting the council’s SharePoint and Office 365 document management solutions for all staff and councillors.
The Council have recently moved their staff and councillors to Office 365. We have an existing on premise SharePoint deployment which is only used minimally by certain departments. Staff currently predominantly store their departmental documents on network drives (known within the council as T:\ drives). It is planned to move all corporate content away from network drives onto SharePoint in Office 365. This will represent a huge cultural change for the staff. The primary function of this role initially is to provide assistance to departments to review their current content and move it across to SharePoint. You will work closely with the Information Governance team to encourage following best practice of GDPR rules. Longer term the role will be about the development of SharePoint and maximising it’s use and efficiency.
