About the role

Are you an excellent and passionate leader who has a proven track record for enhancing pupil achievement and improving the outcomes in primary schools?
Do you have significant experience of leadership in primary schools, which you would like to share to enable all stakeholders to flourish and thrive?
If so, then the East Sussex Standards & Learning Effectiveness Service (SLES) has a wonderful opportunity for you. We are looking for school based Interim Leaders to provide strategic support, in a range of senior leadership roles, across East Sussex primary schools.
As an interim leader you will:
- Work closely with identified primary schools as a school based leader as deployed by SLES
- Provide and lead the strategic vision for the school including managing budgets and performance management
- Ensure all statutory requirements are met and relevant documentation adhered to, the Ofsted framework and Keeping Children Safe in Education and all Health and Safety legislations
Starting in September 2021, we are looking to increase the capacity of our interim leadership team. To ensure this role will meet the professional development and challenges of each candidate, the successful leader will be appointed on the Leadership Scale between point L16 and L24 on a fixed term one year contract, a one year secondment or a permanent contract.
