Salary Range: £19,674 up to £20,878 pa
Hours: 40 hours per week Full time (40 hours per week) 5 day working week pattern including all weekends and bank holidays (except Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day)

About the role
What will I be doing?
Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site(s) in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing.
What are the requirements?
- With the potential to gain certifications including first aid and fire marshal training and, at higher levels, formal health & safety and waste industry specific qualifications, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.
- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
- An outstanding level of customer service and teamwork approach
- Ideally some prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given for roles at sites that require such skills.
Why do we need these roles?
An exciting opportunity to work in Hertfordshire County Council’s Waste Management Unit which is responsible for delivering the statutory functions of the Waste Disposal Authority for Hertfordshire including the provision of the Recycling Centre service and the treatment/disposal of Local Authority Collected Waste.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to be part of a team taking the Recycling Centre service onto higher levels of achievement.
