Casual Systems Training & Support Officer
West Berkshire Council are upgrading their Social Care Case Management System (Care Director) and are keen to recruit a System Training and Support Officer with the skills and flexibility to lead on the design and delivery of training across around 700 Adult Social Care and Children and Family Services staff.
The post holder will be a member of the Care Director V6 project team and will work in partnership with the Project Manager and the Systems Team in order to ensure end users are trained in Care Director V6 by the time it goes live in October 2021. It is expected that the training will be delivered remotely in view of current Covid restrictions, although occasional visits to the Council Offices in Newbury may be required during the course of the project.
Experience in delivering training within social care is essential and experience of training on Care Director and of using a variety of media including online will be viewed as an asset in this role.
The working hours for this role are flexible, providing the post holder meets the requirements of the project, which will be determined by the project manager. The project plan envisages two main periods of work: training design (April - June) and training delivery (end August – October). This is a casual role until October/November 2021 for a time and funding limited project.
Please contact Katharine Makant (Project Manager) on 01635 519186 (Mon to Wed) or Rob Sweetman (Systems Team Leader) on 01635 503511 for an informal discussion about this role.
Interviews are scheduled to take place virtually on Monday 22nd March. Those invited to interview will be required to prepare and deliver a brief presentation as part of the interview process.
