The Business and Economy Officer will help the Economic Development Team to ensure Oxford’s business community is supported, informed and engaged, also directly delivering aspects of the Economic Development Strategy. A key part of the role will be to ensure the service’s numerous partnerships remain strong and productive. The successful post-holder will support this priority by delivering excellent customer service, and strong administration, with a collaborative approach. The successful post-holder will identify innovative ways to deliver improvements to the council’s engagement with business and local organisations. In-turn the post-holder will help to enhance the support offered to business with partners, enhance take-up of that support and ensure that effective lines of two-way communication are in place to understand and meet local business needs. This is a key role to ensure excellent customer service, and support our work by enabling a fairer, more inclusive economy.
