About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ICES Development Lead within the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES).
The key role of the ICES Development lead is to maintain the interface and link between ICES, Adult Social Care (ASC) and Health practitioners providing support for the co-ordination and the operational delivery of the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) which is a Pooled budget arrangement between ESCC and NHS East Sussex CCG for East Sussex residents.
Working in partnership with Commissioners, Operational managers, ICES providers, equipment suppliers, Pooled Budget Managers (PBMs) and prescribers to develop and sustain capacity and capability by facilitating change to prescribing practice, developing “Best practice” to improve efficiency and efficacy for prescribers improving of “patient experience”, optimising the independent living opportunities available.
Develop relationships, partnerships, networks and support structures with PBMs to empower prescribers to undertake new roles and work in new ways, creating consistency in prescribing practice across Health and ASC practitioners
You will need to have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Community Equipment in relation to its purpose, its function, its prescription and related health and safety implications for clients/patients/carers and prescribers.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
