Programme Manager (COVID_19 Recovery) (£42,269 – £47,576) Fixed term – 12 months
At the gateway to the East of England, Huntingdonshire has built on its history and has many locational advantages with attractive countryside and green spaces and lying within the Oxford-Cambridge growth corridor. The area is well placed to attract businesses, supported by new communities that work well with the existing market towns and a blend of urban and rural life. Huntingdonshire District Council is already good, but it is striving to be great.
We are seeking a talented individual to join us in leading our programme of change in response to COVID_19 and to ensure Huntingdonshire, its people, and its places continue to be successful.
The focus of our energy over the past year has been on supporting the local community in responding to the challenges raised by COVID-19. Whilst the response to the emergency continues, plans are underway for the recovery and whilst some of our priorities have changed, many of our medium to long term objectives remain the same. Two significant programmes of work are underway, the first covering the COVID_19 recovery of the district as a whole and the second, which is linked, our Town Centres. Whilst some of this work has already started the Council needs some additional capacity to develop and deliver the COVID_19 recovery programme which currently includes 19 projects covering our people and place to a value of £1.3M.
