Hours:                                   37 hours per week

North Somerset Council has an ambitious and wide-ranging programme of urban regeneration and transport improvement schemes from traffic calming to multi-million pound new roads, and from EV charging infrastructure to developing “mini-Holland” schemes to make our streets more friendly. To support these aspirations the council’s highway design teams are seeking a Principal Engineer or Technical Lead. 

The successful post holder will design and implement their own highway improvement schemes and supervise other team members to deliver our larger projects. 

The Council operates a Career Grade system. The successful candidate will be offered the grade appropriate to their qualifications and experience.
