Service Manager (Covid)
Service Manager (Covid)
Here at Barnsley, we live and work by four important values: honesty, teamwork, excellent service, and taking pride in what we do. Regulatory Services protect the health, safety and well-being of those who live, work in and visit the Borough, enabling local businesses to comply with their regulatory responsibilities. We are at the forefront of BMBC’s covid response. That’s where you come in, as a Service Manager. You will be primarily involved in managing a team of staff to respond to covid work, as well as supporting the wider work of the service. As part of our team, you can be sure we’ll do all we can to support you in being truly excellent.
Your role in our journey
As a Service Manager you’ll be responsible for leading a team responding to covid work, including workplace outbreaks, responding to service requests, Police liaison, workplace advice and inspections, and economic recovery. You’ll manage your budget efficiently, provide reports for Senior Management, and support the work of the wider Service.
What you’ll need
To join us, you’ll need a level 6 qualification relevant to the service and be able to demonstrate competencies appropriate to the Service. You’ll show excellent leadership and negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex projects and programmes at a strategic level. You will also bring to the role a commitment to work flexibly, and at a senior level in the organisation, sometimes in difficult situations.
