We have an excellent and rewarding opportunity for a full time permanent Financial Assessment Assessor to join our team within Adult Social Care Financial Services. The role is office based in St Mary’s House in Eastbourne.
You’ll be a key part of the team and be responsible for completing financial assessments for clients receiving chargeable care and support arranged by us.
You’ll need to be able to interpret financial information and be required to make decisions based on charging regulations under the Care Act and local policy.
You’ll need to correspond with clients, their representatives and professionals by telephone, letter and email. Our customers require varying levels of support therefore excellent customer service skills will be required.
You’ll need knowledge of working with computers including Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office. You’ll work on a number of bespoke database systems for which you will receive full training and ongoing support.
Due to the requirements of the role you need to work on your own initiative and be organised, self-motivated, collaborative, empathic and have an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people.
