The Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) specialist multidisciplinary team work with the courts, providing an accessible community based assessment and intervention service for high needs families with a history of substance misuse.
The Pan Bedfordshire FDAC is a partnership across the three Bedfordshire Local Authorities - Luton, Central Bedfordshire and Bedford. Central Bedfordshire Council is the lead and recruiting local authority.
The FDAC specialist multidisciplinary team are made up of experienced Social Workers, a Parental Substance Misuse Specialist, a Domestic Abuse Expert, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Primary Mental Health Worker and a Business Support Officer.
As a Business Support Officer in the FDAC team you would work to provide a comprehensive business and administrative support to the FDAC team. You would liaise with the Court Clerk to book court hearings; ensure timely and cost effective provision and maintenance of resources; carry out financial administration including raising purchase orders and issuing invoices, manage the FDAC team inbox, receive and process court reports, arrange and minute strategic and operational meetings.
You would be an important part of a specialist team who work with parents and children. You would need to communicate effectively with parents, children and professionals. It will be important to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with partner agencies. This role will be vital to enabling the team to be effective in their work.
As the successful candidate you would have experience of business support work. You will be a good team player and be equally capable of individual work.
Subject to managerial agreement the successful candidate would start on or before 29th March 2021 to access a handover period.
