We are a successful village primary school with fantastic children and a supportive staff team. We are looking for an Assistant SENCO to join our happy team of staff and to be part of our school improvement journey from April 2021.
The appointed person will work closely with the Head of School/SENCO and colleagues within the statutory frameworks and the Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy and oversee the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising SEN pupil achievement.
Tasks will include being responsible for updating SEN registers, data and tracking progress of SEN students, communicating with staff about any SEN updates and changes, ensuring the needs of SEN pupils are met as well as providing administrative support to the Head of School/ SENCO. Organising of meetings, small pupil groups and Teaching Assistant support as well as being flexible and helping out where needed will be required as part of your role.
To be successful in this role, you will have a good standard of education; previous administrative and some SEN experience/knowledge is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
