Salary: Starting from £20,092 to £21,748 per annum

Grade: Grade 3

Hours: 37 hours per week

Place of work: Mobile across Adur and Worthing

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to become a part of our busy award winning Grounds Maintenance team within our Environmental Services Department. We are seeking a team-orientated, diligent and skilled person to join the team engaged on a variety of horticultural maintenance activities in parks, open spaces including formal planted areas and other leisure sites across Adur and Worthing.

It is essential that you hold a current driving licence as you will be required to drive vehicles as part of the role. You will also be responsible for operating a variety of Grounds Maintenance equipment and hand held power tools and will usually work as part of a Mobile Grounds Maintenance team maintaining sites primarily in and around Worthing Town Centre but also across Adur and Worthing but you will also be required to work on your own on occasions.

The successful applicant will be expected to be skilled and experienced in the use of various powered machinery and have industry related experience and will be expected to work outdoors throughout the year. You will have a positive approach to working and take pride in the work that we do. You will be able to demonstrate high standards of behaviour and professionalism in dealing with the public.
