Temporary Youth Workers
(£5389.52 per annum / £11.81 per hour)
10 hours per week – Monday to Friday over the lunchtime period
(term time only)
Required April 2021, up until May half term
We are looking to appoint two Youth Workers to support the management of students outside at lunchtimes. These are temporary roles to assist with the staggered lunchtimes currently in place due to the pandemic.
The role will require the post holder to supervise the safety, and support the high behaviour expectations of the school, of a year group of 180 students at a time. The post holder will need to be able to manage the year group lining up at the beginning and end of lunchtime and be able to verbally address the whole year group to give instructions. They should also circulate with students and engage in informal mentoring where appropriate.
This temporary role would be particularly suitable for someone who is considering a career in education, for instance becoming a teacher. It will require an extremely uplifting, positive and encouraging approach. Previous youth mentoring work and/ or sports coaching would be particularly relevant experience for applicants to have.
An application form and recruitment pack are available to download from the school website www.wsfg.waltham.sh.uk. Completed application forms should be returned to the school by email to email@example.com. Please note CVs will not be accepted.
Closing date: Monday 1st March 2021 (noon)
Please note that applications will be considered as they are received, and we therefore reserve the right to close this post before the date specified above.
