About the role
Can you work as part of a joined up cohesive team, to help deliver the Facilities Management Services for East Sussex County Council? Could you ensure the fulfilment of the Controller of Premises duties? If so, then this could be the role for you.
You will be joining a team invigorated by a recent restructure and will assist in raising the profile of the FM team. You will be required to supervise staff, oversee contractors, assist the mobile maintenance, courier service, caretakers, postal, security and reception staff where required whilst ensuring workplace delivery, statutory building check completion and workplace Health and Safety compliance. You will also act as a deputy to the Building Manager and be the first point of call for other FM issues and enquiries. There will be two Assistant Building Managers based at Lewes and it is intended that the Assistant Building Managers in Lewes work together as part of a joined up cohesive team, to deliver the FM services to a safety compliant workplace.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
