About the role
We are looking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to work closely with the Governing Board and the Federation Leadership Team.
You will need to be organised, confident, self-motivated, and good with people. You should have an understanding of the work of a school and either some knowledge of governance or a willingness to be trained. You must have good administrative skills and minute-taking experience, be able to use your initiative, and maintain confidentiality at all times. We would also expect good IT skills (MS Outlook, MS Office) and the ability to minute meetings in a virtual environment.
Tasks include the preparation and circulation of papers, attendance at meetings in the daytime and evenings, minute taking, monitoring and responding to emails, and maintaining a business calendar including policy reviews. Your hours will vary from week to week, and you will need to work flexibly.
