About the role
Teaching Assistant - Causeway School
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support Team as soon as possible.
All our Teaching Assistants are offered the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in supporting students in the classroom at Level 2 or Level 3. We are happy to receive applications from candidates who have the skills but not the experience of working as a Teaching Assistant – full training will be given.
Teaching Assistants form part of a team who work in all areas of the school and support students with either learning or behaviour difficulties. They work in lessons, one to one or with a small group of students as directed by the teacher and the senior leadership team.
The role is 30hrs, term time only.
Causeway School is a small 11-16 comprehensive school of 540 students. The school is 20 years old, boasts excellent facilities, and is co-located with Hazel Court Secondary Special School.
There is an overwhelming sense of community that exists at the heart of Causeway School, bringing together students, staff, parents and carers. As Head of School my mission is simple: to ensure that every single member of the school community is ‘putting achievement first’, fostering happy, confident learners who leave school with the right skills and qualifications for the world they are growing into.
We are delighted with our Ofsted Inspection Report February 2019 and the recent monitoring visit February 2020, which validates that we are rapidly improving.
In partnership with Swale Academies Trust we are focused on school improvement and continuous learning for both our students and our staff. Our students are at the centre of everything we do, putting their achievement first, within a caring community rich with opportunity is our moral imperative.
To apply for this position please complete an application form downloadable from our website.
